Sitting here with Hartford albums and cassettes all over the room not to mention you tube videos I downloaded.
There are thousands of John Hartford fans and friends out there. I believe in passing the torch so what can we do to remember them that have crossed over?
How many out there play or sing the songs and play the tunes Hartford did so well. I am working on "ANNUAL WALTZ" and "TURN YOUR RADIO ON"

Hi Willy, Tim K just posted "Steamboat Round the Bend" and noted that Allenadale had transcribed much of Chesterton's book on his web-page. In "The Fun of Open Discussion" Hartford plays "Lantern in the Ditch" which, if I remember right, he says he got from this book. The transcription is at -- http://www.mountainsentinel.com/tabs/fiddlebanjo/LanternintheDitch.pdf Don't know if you read music or not, but it's pretty close to what Hartford plays -- all you have to do is figger out his bowing! :) Cheers, Ken
