wierd old-time music

Posted by oldtimewine on Thursday, January 20, 2011

I began my morning with a heavy dose of strange old time tunes that i love..uncle dave Macoon "sail away ladies", Chubby Parker, eck roberts sallyy goodin and ended with Happy Hayseeds.....if you have never heard them you should give them a's a mix of great fiddlers and looney toons, lol. Anyhow i never thought i could feel so good, this is the way to really kick of a day!

Great advice. There is magic in those tunes...or something else. Mystical.

Fiddle tunes are musical alchemy.

Magic, yes, "Sally Ann" wakes me up in a way, which makes me dance at 5.00 am, of course, some poor flowers are falling down together with my wild morning rituals, playing and dancing Sally Ann or sail away ladies , i made a blog of this for not so long ago, its still at my homepage, I sure agree with you of Magic, a great discovery of yours !

I love the fact that modern musicians try very hard to to be strange and do something different with music but the old time musicians were extremely different and were just having fun doing what was natural. This is why i don't watch TV or listen to radio lol
