Sorry... I remember that punch line some punny joke from my childhood about the flu- can't remember the joke though!
Anyway, I got the flu again a week ago. Had to cancel a BUNCH of gigs... cancelled going up to my sister's for Christmas too. I'm feeling a <little> better today, but still sound sick and have close to NO energy. I have managed to play some fiddle almost every day though, but not as long practice sessions as I'd like.
My poor fiddles... not able to get out and do stuff... so I TWEAK them!!! Luckily the recent tweaks seem to help... came up with a new idea for bridge tweaking (new to me anyway) by looking at pictures of bridges.
I make myself nervous, though, since I have a hard timing stopping fiddle-tweaking!
And you my poor fellow Fiddle-Hangouters, have had to wade through even MORE pogo-posts than usual!!!! Hopefully I will feel well enough soon to GET MY LIFE BACK and get out and gig and jam. This is gettin' OLD!!!
(Don't say amen too loud!!! ;^D)
I need to go shopping... three cups of coffee, and I still don't really have the energy to drive, but I'm out of bread... gotta do it!!!
Later!!!

Do a little research on the efficacy and effects of vitamin D3 . . . which isn't a vitamin at all.

M-D,
Yes, I do take it, and I have heard it's actually a hormone.
Humbled,
Good news... the flu seems to have flown, or fled.
Lungs and sinuses still gunky, but at least I don't FEEL so bad.

Are you taking enough, though?

I take 5,000 IU of D3 a day, plus trivial amounts in milk.
A year ago I was REALLY sick, and started taking immune boosting supplements.
The one that did the most immediate good was L-glutamine... I think it may have saved my life!!!

Interesting that you've still taken ill.
l-glutamine is good for neuropathy, also.
