16th Annual Maine Country Dance Fiddle Workshop
City Hall, Winthrop Street, Hallowell, Maine
Saturday February 9, 2008 1-5 PM
Open to Students Ages 5 and up
Schedule and tunes:
1 PM Advanced with Ellen Gawler
Petit Sarny, Hommage a la Belle Gaspesie, Carrie's Canter, The Dawn, 24th of June
2 PM Intermediate with Kaity Newell
Galway Belle, Honest John, Crested Hen, Burnt Sugar, The Brown Cow (Miss McCleod's Reel)
3 PM Beginner with Greg Boardman
Bonnie Tammie, Polka de la lune, Ghandi's War Cry, Lovely Stornaway
4 PM A Country Dance with all fiddlers
Friends and family please dance!
All tunes must be played by memory. Students do not need to know all of the tunes in their level to participate.
Registration fee: $15 ($20 with a CD). Limited enrollment!
Registration deadline is January 28, 2007.

Hmmm - I don't think I know any of these tunes, except for Miss McCleod's Reel.
And I'm sure I don't play that one in the right style...
