To-day I recieved a wonderful early Christmas present in the mail. A newly found friend through this site was kind enough to send me a Pirastro gold label string that I may try one. Now as I said in the last posting I had pretty well foun d the stings for me and Baby, but there was a little problem with the E string, it sounded a bit tinny to me and I had mentioned this in one of our emails. So he sent me a string.
Well, I am speechelss (not that you can tell). this string is the "cat's meow to me and Baby. I could not get over the balance it has with the other strings, and the volume that comes from it is absolutely wonderful, even in the third postion playing. the resonance that Baby gives off when this string is bowed is heart warming, almost bringing tears to my eyes.
It is so great when everything seems to click for your fiddle, isn't it. I will definitely order a few more, but they are hard to get here in Thunder Bay for some unkown reason. That's OK, there is the internet ( Ireally like to shop locally, but what the hay?)
