I was living close to Arctics in Finland as a Young Man, and received arthritis on my Fingers, I moved to southern of Sweden and got rid of it.

Now here,I hate to admit it, I received a Fiddleitis, the Magic of Fiddlings tied me up to it completely, so I just wonder if theres any cure available....

I carry my fiddle with me, wherever I go, it looks ridiculous, friends...( my Teddy Bear )

and theres always a new tune to learn available,Oh yes ,"I just got to learn this one too", this is an Obsession, which is impossible to get rid off.

Who complains anyway for such a sweet addiction...

oh c'mon. as IF you'd even WANT the cure. ha ha. :-) none of us are looking for THAT cure. although, if there was a super beverage that could make me automatically awesome, i'd be all about that. ha ha! and beer and liquor are the anti-super beverage...they make me waaaaaaaaaaay worse. ha ha

I take lessons once a week and play daily. I have the addiction myself. I have been playing since February 2010. I only know 3 songs by ear. I would like to expand my repetoire :) I like country music but it is difficult to find fiddle tabs for country songs. I am learning to read music..key word is learning and I do not have anyone to play with :( Given all that; I still am addicted and love playing. I am looking for fiddle tabs for "Old Flames" and can't seem to find it. I am hoping you might be able to help. Thanks for adding me to your friend list . I enjoy reading the different comments..

Jody,its really hard to find tabs and notaton for Country Music on fiddle.
I might be able to help you by Ear training method.
Most Country Fiddlers dont want to reveal their secrets, I dont mind by doing it, if I can.

No cure...As long as most others are aware of your illness (craziness?) it's OK. My personal addiction has been marked by periodic relapses to normalcy (?), but the addiction always creeps back until I cannot deny it any longer. I have given up. There's a tune I heard last week...!

We are not normal, whatever that is.

No cure! You are stuck in the everlasting fiddle "hell"! You will always be craving for a "fix" to the point you may end up starting to play "air" fiddle!

I noticed also, that this developes purty fast to the worse, for now, the Western Swing Virus got a grip on me as well, and I`m just floating with it

I don't know, but about two months ago I ditched the country and have drifted off to the other shore... Ireland's shore, that is...

Now I can't stop playing Irish music!

I do like Irish music also, among dozens of other styles, lately Blues on the Fiddle ,especially in style with Johnny Gimble and Keith Coleman. Kind of Be-Bop influenced Swing improvising stuff

You were walking around with a stand up Bass ! , Man, I know all about it,
Four years of my life with it,4 Men and a stand up Bass in a tiny little Fiat , all over Scandinavia, we had a blast every second of it .

For now, the Fiddle is my Axe for sure :- )
