Home Sweet Home!

Posted by Bob Jones on Thursday, August 12, 2010

You know what they say (Whoever "they" are) It's nice to go away but always great to get home. Well it's great to be home! We went for a bluegrass campout for several days and had a great time and some great tunes. Then on down to Nova Scotia and had a visit with some friends and some fiddle tunes - Did I say some? I mean a lot of tunes. We planned on going further  but my dear wife's blood pressure started getting out of control so we cut it short and came home. It seems to have come back to normal since getting home again so we are thankful about that. I must be older than I am supposed to be as the trip seemed to wear me out! After returning home I down loaded one of those supposedly wonderful little deals that makes your computer just like new. To make a long story short, after two trips to the repairman and $60.00 later my computer is working again! Please BJ don't listen to the great deals!LOL Hopefully I've learned my lesson! I had my picture taken with my friend on my profile with my fiddle. The dear old girl is older now and layed down instead of sitting up. I guess I better go make myself useful. I think I'll play a tune!LOL

Have a great evening all!  BJ

I enjoyed your story, glad your wife is doing better.
i`m from NB too, but live near Ottawa now. Sounds like you had a great time!
I love old style bluegrass too, like Bill Munroe, and some day I will learn a bluegrass tune, just because I love the sound. Having grown up in rural NB I can certainly relate to the themes of Bluegrass!

Glad to hear your wife's better, but no wonder she got upset. Once you hit Nova Scotia, the only way to go further, is to jump in a boat and cross the ocean. Good thing you turned back. ;-)

Your right Mudbug and she won't go in a boat! Only problem is, she's not better. Her blood pressure is still up & down.It seemed to change for the better when we got home but then started to get up again. The only conclusion I can seem to come to is - maybe it's me!LOL Learned any new tunes lately Mudbug? I sure wished I knew where there were some bluegrass musicians who lived handy to here! Nice to hear from you.Have a great day! Do you know the tune Pidgeon on the fence post or pidgeon on the gate? It's a neat tune. BJ
