Does anyone know any of the above people that do actually realise how important musicians are when plaing a show? Almost every show I have done, the non-musicians put themselves miles above the musicians saying that they are so much better than us. It annoys me so much that musicians are under appreciated.
And another rant over. I mean no offense to and actors singers and/or dancers.

To some, whose ego's are inflated, musicians are just the background noice, over which they get to show the world how wonderful they are. Don't take anything they say to heart. There are others who realise that they are the frosting on the cake ( or the gravey on the potatoes), and show respect to others that they work with.

I must say...that is a nice way of putting it. I just have a way with becoming enraged with those that think we are not worthy to be with them. Grrr.

Yea...they ain't fun to be around....choose your friends....ignore the egotists....remember....they are like that often because of deep-rooted insecurities which they attempt to hide by acting that way. So, in other words, internally, they are far more of a mess than you....lol......let them have it and keep it.

This wouldn't have something to do with the fact that some of the Broadway Theaters are now using synths instead of musicians, would it?

I'll try my best. No, musicians are used as well as Synths. Synths just emphasise specific instruments or sections.
