Morpeth Rant

Posted by Grassapelli on Tuesday, May 25, 2010

This can be a fun tune unless you just played St. Anne's Reel. The B parts are similar. Going astray is not difficult.

The real question is "what does the title refer to?" Morpeth sounds like a name, maybe of a person, or a place. A rant is a highly emotional speech. Hmmm.

Someone said that Rant in music means playing the tune faster and faster. Could be, but I just don't know. My version of the tune, in tab, is up: Morpeth Rant at 100 Fiddle Tunes.
