Compton Rige Campground is proud to host for the 25th Year The Bob Walsh Memorial Fiddler's Convention.
Spring Date May 13-16,2010
This event is awesome for fiddlers and spectators alike and it's during the very popular Bluegrass and BBQ at neighboring Silver Dollar City theme park! There will be fiddle instructional workshops on the main stage and many jam sessions throughout the park. Splinter Middleton and his band will provide the best in classic country and western swing music too for their Friday night dance, it's a guaranteed great time!!

I've been trying to get down to this for the past 4 years and have failed every year. Will try again. Any idea what the instructional workshops are?

Thanks for the response, We'll have some different fiddlers from the area that will talk about technique, styles, their fiddles, etc. It's a nice gathering and there are lots of good fiddlers around that are more than willing to help out if you have any questions. Would love to have you attend. There is no charge for any of it and don't forget that the Bluegrass and BBQ festival is going on next door at Silver Dollar City. Hope to see you there!

Thanks, I hope I can make it for at least one day. I assume Thursday is kind of a kick off day with everyone arriving and setting up?
