Students like Harvest Home Hornpipe. That's the only hornpipe in my book, 43 Fiddle Tunes in Tab.
To come up with another one, I tried Jackie Tar. Unfortunately, that proved to big a jump in difficulty. So, now I just made a tab chart for Lamp Lighter's Hornpipe.
I play hornpipes with a definite swing feel. I think that's the reason students like them. You have more time to play the notes. You're not so rushed to crank out a stream of rapid notes.
The tune is published online as Lamp Lighter's Hornpipe at 100 Fiddle Tunes. If you scroll down to the bottom of the blog post, you can download the pdf file of the tune.
The version is based mostly on that classic collection, Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes.

I feel a need to get caught up on my publishing before going to MP3 files.
But, that is on the agenda. Thanks for asking.
