It's very cold here today with the high going up to around 10-12 f., sunny though and very lovely outside. Ducks and geese hanging out by the river.
Carving a viola scroll for the latest and need to get a move on as it has to go overseas with a student returning home at the end of the semester. Top and back have the arching finished and are being graduated.
Going to the Ten Pound Fiddle tonight to see the bluegrass band Detour play. Peter Knupfer is the fiddle player and is very hot and tasty. He has so much talent and ability yet never overplays anything. I could learn a lot from him!

Sounds like fun, even if you have to go out in the cold to get there!
Pretty dang cold here too, we're down in the teens and windy, supposed to feel like below 0 here overnight. Make me feel like I'm back up in Maine! Brrrr!
If you haven't yet, you should be hearing from David Husic. Your greetings have been passed on.

So THAT'S where all our ducks and geese went. To enjoy those balmy temps you mentioned. Enjoy the show!

Guess I can't complain about our weather here in Northern California's central valley, mid 50s today. And this Peter Knupfer fellow sounds good. There are guys like that around here, who just play to the song yet who you know can do just about anything.....

the concert was really great. Bluegrass hasn't been my main thing for a long time but I enjoyed their show as much as anything I've been to for a long time.
Thanks for your comments, and thanks bj for helping connect with Dave again.
