I've been checking out FH for some time and have been impressed with the honest, open, and very informative discussions on all aspects of fiddle making, repairing, and playing. Not to mention everyone is also so dang nice that I can hardly believe my eyes when I read the dicussions! A welcome change from the extremely polarized rantings in todays political discussions. I along with my good friend Brian Bishop ( another newbie) make up the fiddle dept. at Elderly Instruments in Lansing MI and we look forward to making new friends and hearing comments from all the great people on FH. I will try to post some photos on some Elderly projects I'm working on and let people know about some cool fiddles that come through the shop. We get some very interesting stuff. We also welcome any constructive criticism. Bye for now and I look forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome Dave!! Elderly Instruments is well know on this site. I even have ya's book marked. I do agree with you. FHO is an awesome site because of the people. Very informative with a great set up!

Hello, Dave. Dave restored a violin that I had bought at auction. It was in sad shape, and he did a beautiful work on it. I am glad to see you here, Dave. The one thing I have learned here is that unless it is a fiddle I don't worry about, leave it alone for the professional set up. Flip Johnson in Coldwater.
