I was a little concerned after I didn't do well with it the previous gig, but I've had several good practice sessions with it, and it sounded great at a gig today... at least at first. It may actually require re-rosining during a gig, which is something I haven't had to do normally.
Or maybe it's just that it has a different sweet spot, and I'm more likely to drift out of it if I'm not paying attention.
The hissiness I had noticed a week ago disappeared when the weather dried up a little.
So it's a keeper!!!

It may just be that the new hair will require some rosining-in time. I remember when I got a bow rehaired it really needed rosining a lot. After a few weeks not so much. After a few months it was much more like my other bows.

Yeah, that thought occurred to me too, that although this one did have some rosin on it at the store,
it's not like it was as saturated with Kaplan Premium Light as my other bows.
The thought has also occurred to me that this one, being lighter, might be craving
Kaplan Premium DARK!!! ;^D
That's GOT to be a super-grabby rosin, since the Light is already grabbier than most dark rosins I have tried!!!

My two carbon fiber bows have been great, delivering full, sweet sound as I drag 'em 'cross my Helicores on the Silver Creeks. I'm now using Super Sensitive; before I was using Paganini rosin.
