What a great resource! My boyfriend plays the banjo, and is a frequent visitor to banjohangout.com, so when I started fiddling I looked for a similar website, but wasn't able to find one -- until now! I am a classically trained musician both on the piano and on the violin, but have just recently picked up fiddling. I'm stilling trying to learn how to transition between these two styles, so if anyone can give me any tips or hints, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I love the dog picture. I am a violin performance grad who switched to fiddle styles about 25 years ago. I still like classical but I haven't played it much. I prefer about any other style, especially Bluegrass and Oldtime. I love the Celtic styles too. These days I spend my time playing with my band, composing music, and teaching fiddle to young and old alike. Welcome to the Hangout. It's a cool place! Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to help you out.
