Just got back from a fabulous weekend in Michigan (beautiful spot) playing for dances and doing workshops for the Traditional Arts Weekend at Wheatland-if you've never been, it is a gem of a festival-nice and small, very friendly, amazing instructors, wonderful dance space and good food! Great Big Taters played alot and had some really fun workshops (the fiddle/banjo duet workshop was really fun-Hilarie took the fiddle players and I took the banjo players to give each group the opportunity to find out more about jamming with each other)-lots of "aha" moments for sure! Then of course, Hilarie and I played tunes at every chance when we weren't "working" and we got to play with some old friends and new (Bruce Ling and John (great guitar player I met at Clifftop a few years ago, from Traverse City) to name a few. Back in Athens Ohio with Hilarie and off to the studio to record a Great Big Taters Cd with Bernie at the piano and recording controls (I recorded most of iFiddle, theyBanjo at his Peach Fork Studios, in Pomeroy Ohio-great place and great engineering!). So that should be fun. Later!

Missed you at Black Creek, though, Jane. :-) But, glad to hear that you're having fun and playing lots.
