Greetings Fiddlehangout friends-I haven't seem to had the time to do my FHO thing and I am heading off for another Jane Adventure so I thought I'd give an update! Had a very productive winter with some wonderful gigs and jams-The new band I am in , Red Hen recorded a wonderful CD of what we call New old time music with tunes and songs written and co-written by me and my hubby Allan (plus a great Chris Coole banjo tune, and a wonderful tune by Garry Harrison). Lots of hot harmonies and wonderful instumentals-we are very happy-recorded all LIVE with no overdubs-what you hear is what you get! So stay tuned about how to get one of the new cd for yerselves! It is titled Red Hen Crossing.
Off to Wheatland traditional Arts Festival this weekend with Great Big Taters (me with Hilarie Burhans on banjo and Bernie Nau on piano) then a little recording with Great Big Taters and on home next week to more gigs and fun with Red Hen. Hope to see some of you this summer along the way, maybe at Clifftop-if you're in the Upstate NY area come see us and Have all the fun you can stand!

Red Hen CD will be for sale at Old Songs Festival weekend of June 26-28th www.oldsongs.org. Yeah-Great Big Taters is kind of humerous especially when you call someone on the phone and say"hi this is jane rothfield with Great big taters!"
