Ok - so it's mid-march... MID - MARCH???!!! YIKES!!!
I am still somewhere in early winter. It hit me today -Totally blue sky, fresh, tiny begining buds on the trees - Oh H***...
I haven't planted, I haven't done anything it seems but move furniture and people in and out, fix locks, bemoan my shrinking savings, talked to fiddle people, as there has been NO time to really play - It seems I went push to shove manager in early January, and suddenly it's almost Spring. Arggg!
Well, I did manage to get an accordian player family member to try the tunes in Robin Williamson's book - I play them all - & she had the book -
(once to pick up fiddle, but that went nowhere) But she's jazzed on the accordion, and an award winning Irish Step Dancer. She wants celtic tunes with the chord symbols - and Robin definately delivers!
Me, uh - fiddle 4 times, and banjo 10 times -( picked up and played)
I hear them yelling at me ALL the time - as I run in and out. This spastic run I am on WILL end - and I am not as rusty as I thoght - (thanks for being in my corner, Thor!) LOL!
I have found that if one pulls out older tune books, that just looking and reading through them mentally will get one all jazzed again - it pulls one - tunes one hasn't played in a long time that you loved - as fresh as the day was outside - so ho! off to the merry greenwood go I, down by the river maybe - as soon as I rent tis room upstairs, and move the couch...

Believe me - I don't intend this forever - but it's a good solid cheap roof with all utes paid, and way reduced rent - - and in these times here in Reno, I and my tenants have actually one of the best deals going - so I will work to keep this job for a while 0-
until the foreclosure rates get ridiculous, and they start selling houses to people for a thou down, and 350 a month - haha!
BUT! My fiddle is hanging right where I touch it everyday - & finding old tunes for the cousin, got my pulling out all my old books to wallow in - and we know where THAT leads..... (devil grin!!!)

I have Robin Williamsons book of tunes, and enjoy playing them too! Get that fiddle down and play it! A good read.
