So we are going from the Sierra to The boonies of Lake Mead, Az -
(this was from a coupla years ago)
(nearest town, 25 miles - don't break down - Mead was DEEP here - and getting here is 60 miles of unpaved Mtn road., so you don't want to break down
this was after a surprise and rare real rain storm -usually everthing just is a dusty brown, and shimmers in the heat (It's cold in Reno right now, and I LOVE that!
This was a day of fishing - (did NOT bring the fiddle on board) The trout - (stripers) are supreme! I did NOT care for the heat! - (few years ago)
Almost wrapped up with some end of the year (prop mgmnt) paperwork -arghhh!
Deering has a new 19 fret parlour banjo! Looks great for traveling and carryon - (length and height requirements) Still grabing the fiddle in the off moments -(gotta have some surcrease from the daily brouhaha around here -
Lake Mead had great acoustics - since there is a lot of rock and formations and rockyhill shoreline -
