Hey! Know this isn't fiddle--but my new Deering John Hartford banjo arrived last evening and can't get over its wonderful voice. Knew it would be a beauty--but wow! What a sound--and from a wood tone ring too. My digital camera is broken, so Bob took these with a cell phone and they are a little blurry--but you can still get the idea. :)

Well, it's just beautiful.
Hope you'll record something soon and upload it so we can hear it.
Now - be honest - how many banjos do you own at the moment... (;-))

Very Cool.
Sometimes as a fiddler I kind of wish I could get a new instrument when I see someone else get one. Sort of like getting a new puppy. I am blessed thought to have a good enough one to last me for the rest of my life. That is a groovy looking banjer!
A gal I know who lives in Nashville, grew up with John. He worked on her Dads boat.. She spoke very fondly of him. They hung-out as kids.
Post a tune..soon!
