Haven't gotten much more done - (busy)
But last nite went with a friend to Barnes&Noble - and stealthily drank coffee and dug into home recording for dummies -
So - I got my data on mics - (as far as details to add to understanding) I can't noway afford one at the moment, so research for free is not hurting me in the meantime -
I can still think analog easy - but digital just still whomps me a bit -
For some novel and useful trivia, here are 2 good reads -
more re:mics and audacity - Very layman oriented, by users - (to mic/record a bodhran)
but there is some interesting things I didn't know -
regarding "mic rings" and powersource, (how to know if it will work at sight -etc - and cheapies that work)
this also just stands as a reference when someone else goes. HUH? (it was worth reading the mic chapter in Dummy Home recording - really refreshed! - now ribbon mics - that sounds cool for fiddle - LOL!
What's better and why - and how to do it -
