I posted a fiddle duet version of Big Scioty featuring the venerable Bruce Sedloff (bsed here at FHO) and Yours Truly. We played our respective versions at a jam in July and - surprise! - they harmonized nicely. It's not twin fiddling because it doesn't feature tight harmonies throughout. It's not seconding, where the second fiddler plays a rhythmic pattern of two notes as an accompaniment. It is a somewhat counterpuntal harmonization of two different versions of Big Scioty. There is a bar or two where we are in unison, but it harmonizes everywhere else. See the notes posted with the tune for more information.
