I'm presenting two Zoom events during the two weeks I'm "taking off" from my Monday Play Along Irish Sessions on Facebook.
First up – An Irish & Old-Time Fiddle Workshop via Zoom this coming Tuesday, Oct. 6th at 3pm ET/2pm CT. I'll teach several tunes – first, the Old-Time classic "Sail Away Ladies" (in three versions & two keys!) and then we'll "sail away" to Ireland for an Irish trad tune or two. Plus I'll demonstrate some Old-Time fiddling techniques and Irish ornaments & bowing, and take questions. Contact me by email at flyingfrog@aol.com now to reserve your spot for a very low $15 fee. I'll send your invitation and sheet music to the tunes in advance.
After this workshop, I'll return on Zoom for my second Irish Trad Session Zoom Style on Monday, Oct. 12th at 6pm ET/5pm CT (the same time I usually go live on Facebook). I'll provide a playlist as usual but we'll play face-to-face for a change. Also, I'll "hand the mic" over to any and all willing participants to lead a tune while I mute myself. All in all, a nice change from my Facebook sessions! (I'm asking for only a $5 donation to attend this session.)
