Does anyone use D'Addario Fiddle strings? I have used them for several years now. They are long lasting, and sound fine. It looks like they are no longer available. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

I use the Zyex strings. They have good projection. I tried and liked the Helicore strings, which have good tone.

No, they are called "Fiddle". The package looks exactly like the mandolin strings but with "Fiddle" in place of Banjo or Mandolin. I'll try the helicores. One champion fiddler from St. Paul Alberta tried them on his $5,000.00 Roth and said that they sounded dead. I perform for a living and with earnings at gigs dropping, I can't afford $75.00 strings if they last only 5 gigs.
