I had Sam make my Fiddle in 1977, I paid $600.00 for it then right before I moved to Idaho Falls from Nashville TN where I spent 20 years in the music business, I had the Fiddle appraised, it appraised for $35k bucks.

Had it appraised by Fred Carpenter, he owns the Violin Shop in Nashville TN.

Good evening, did you mean$3,500 or $35,000 for the Sam Daniel's fiddle? Some of his early instruments were made using unusual woods such as locust and were contest winners for both sound quality as well as excellent workmanship. You must have loved your instrument.
