Dear Fiddlers,
I'm giving an online workshop/ tune review today May 5th on Concertwindow.com at 3pm EST (Virginia time zone). I'll be playing a bunch of tunes (keys G, D, A in standard tuning) phrase by phrase and pointing out some of their cool, old-time ornaments, bowing, and features. I'll cover as many tunes as I can in an hour such as Brushy Run, Sally Will You Marry Me, Belle of Lexington, Snake Chapman's tune, Elswick's Farewell, John Riley the Sheperd and possibly others. Tune in if you can. It will help get the fiddles warmed up for festival season. To watch go to www.concertwindow.com, donate $10 and watch! Hope you can join us. Carl is also teaching mandolin 5pm, back-up guitar 7pm. He's teaching Smith McInnis' Mississippi Sawyer on both instruments (key D). Happy Weekend everyone!
cheers, Erynn
