Introducing the Dan Levenson Trio! A new direction where I play fiddle or clawhammer banjo and am joined by guitar and bass. The guitar player here is long time Boiled Buzzard Annie Trimble with Greg Gendall on bass. These tunes are from Kenner Kartchner - a fiddler from Snowflake, AZ born in the late 1800's.

This is a great tune! I just learned it (Walk Along John) last week at a music gathering in Rhode Island. Thanks for posting, sounds wonderful. Now I'll have to work on The Rattlesnake.

I've always thought of it as a Bob Holt tune. What you're playing is the same tune - and a really good version of it. But it's nothing like the way Bob Holt played it.
Is there a CD or somesuch of Kartchner's fiddling?

The DLT! Kind of like a BLT, but with Dan instead of Bacon.
Sounds great. Where/when did you record this?

Nice! Congrats on bringing the group back together, Dan. Hey, can I take a little credit for turning you on to KCK?
