Thanks for the compliment. The fiddle is a late 19th-early 20th Century Markneukirchen factory fiddle. All three labels inside the fiddle are phony (including the Markneukirchen, Saxony one), but two appraisers have assured me that the fiddle is indeed from the famous musical instrument town. The strings are Pirastro Obligatos. Bow is a two hundred buck no-name German, bought new.
