This tune was made popular by Benny Thomasson and it was written by his father, Luke Thomasson. Will Thomasson also does a real fine job on that tune. Will is Benny's nephew.

I always think of Tex Ritter singing "Old Paint" when I listen to this tune. "Fox Watson" does a version I especially like. You can hear his version at the "Digital Library of Appalachia". lrhamp
