Wow - it looks like mine! I even have a mute like that one. Mine is a Romanian violin by a captive store brand named Florea, and it's the 75th Anniversary model, whose tail piece has a white plastic saddle over which the strings pass if you are not using the string adjusters.

I bought this used around 1975, and I have no idea where it comes from, but it's pretty good. It wouldn't be a wild guess that it comes from Romania, but I don't know. There's no plastic on this one. I think the tailpiece is bakelite. The "thing" (I don't know what it's called in english?) that holds the tailpiece was real gut, but it has perished, so recently I put on a plastic one. And the mute is also new. I think it is a good mute, and my family are happy about it too ;-)
