So you hot-rodded your fiddle. Did you do the ink drawings yourself, and did you strip the varnish first to do that? Just curious. Looks good. We are waiting for you to post a tune played on Sven so we can hear your handiwork.

HI Just stumbled upon your "convert-a regular-fiddle-to-a Hardanger"
series of posts - What a neat job you've done! Mine is still holding together after many years - quite a conversation piece & sounds great as well.
I don't use the conventional Hardanger understring tuning -- instead I tune ALL of the lower strings to whatever chord I'm playing in. Took it to a scandanavian fiddler's convention in Bimidji Minnesota ages ago & can honestly tell you that it sounded better than some of the real Hardangers seen there! Good gonin!!
