I learned this neat little Ky tune from the Berea College web site. The Fiddler 's name was Everett Kays. This recording was made at the Indiana Fiddler's Gathering 2009. I start off playing with my friend Dean Barber from Ft Wayne then some more folks join in. We end up with a pretty good jam. I hope you enjoy it.

Art Stamper called this tune Big Hill, Little Hill but some of you might know it as Sheebeg and Sheemore or So Big, So Small another good Scotch/ Irish tune.

This tune is by Gene Goforth. I got turned on to to Him by listening to the last recording that John Hartford made called "Hamilton Ironworks"and now Gene is one of my very favorite fiddlers. His CD is called "Eminence Breakdown" on the Rounder label. I hope you enjoy this tune!

I first heard this tune played in a medley by Ramona Jones. No name was given on the recording but I liked it so I learned it. Later I was told the name of the tune was Chinquipin. Years later I started to hear it called by other names like Buffalo Nickle and Crooked Stove pipe. The name Buffalo Nickle sounded good to me so I stuck with that. I hope you enjoy my version. Banjo is Dean Barber and Guitar is John Long.

This tune was recorded in Sept 2002 in the home of my cousin Art Stamper. We were dabbling with cross tuning and he came out with this tune. This has never been recorded by him. Please Enjoy.

Another Tune recorded in the home of Art Stamper in 2002. This is a tune he learned from a recording of the great Ky fiddler John Salyers. This tune is also on his CD "Wake up Darlin Cory".

This tune was taught to Art by his dad Hiram. This was recorded in 1973 by Art with the Goins Brothers from the Album"Head of the Holler". After it was recorded Art took it back and played it for his dad and he said " Art you didn't play it right" You decide. The fiddle was tuned EDAE.

Also recorded Sept 2002 is a tune I'm proud of. I'm playing lead and Art Stamper twin. I'm not near the fiddler Art was but I think we did a good job. Let me know what you all think

Here's another tune that I don't believe Art ever recorded. Also from our jam at his house in 2002. It's kind of short but it's Art at his best. Enjoy it!
