Not sure of the origin of this tune, I think it might be Appalachian but I first learned it in the 1990's from a tape by the late Roscoe White entitled Arkansas Fiddling. I had forgotten all about the tune until I heard Vivian Williams play it on a video posted here. I'm doing it the Key of F and accompanying myself on guitar. Really a fun tune to play!

Fellow hangout member fujers and I have teamed up for a redo of my earlier post of this Bob Wills classic. Through the marvel of digital technology and e-mail, we were able to record our parts in Maryland and Ohio and then combine them for the finished product.

This is the final tune for my CD of "Timeless Standards". It is a tribute to one of my favorite vocalist, the late, great, Ray Price. For the Good Times was his signature song. My cover is backed up with rhythm guitar, bass and a string trio of twin fiddles and a viola.
