They were in the mail when I got home from work, a two pack of fiddle fretters. I put on the gold set (to help me see them) and plan to put on the stealth set once I'm good enough to play in public.
These things are awesome. In no time (10 minutes) I'm playing St. Anne's Reel. It was a blast, and those frets make it so much easier. I noticed I was paying attention to my bowing technique instead of my left hand fingering.
These Fiddle Fretters are worth every penny. I recommend them to any fellow novice.
Give me a week or two to get good at a few different songs and I'll post them.1 comment

Been playing Banjo since 1998 and guitar / mandolin / fiddle / bass / dobro, etc... shortly thereafter. Mostly I just play Banjo, but I am slowly working on getting proficient with the Fiddle. I took nine years of piano lessons growing up, so I have a good understanding and appreciation of the theory behind music. I enjoy teaching it locally and hope to eventually make that my retirement profession.
