Took a semester of Suzuki lessons as a beginner in 1989. Stopped lessons and playing altogether while getting my nursing degree and working. Began playing again in 2001, but this time it was "fiddle" and not "violin." Went to Augusta Heritage Center for October Old Time week three years straight from 2001-2003 and also took lessons with Two Gun Terry here locally as well as a few lessons with Pete Vigour in Charlottesville. Stopped playing Old Time in 2004 and started with Irish Trad taking a few lessons with Tes Slominski in Nelson County. Am a member of BRIMS (Blue Ridge Irish Music School) and played in the Trad Ensemble for about eight months. Now I play both Old Time and Irish Trad and love both.
