My Instruments:
Currently do not play a fiddle..but pick banjos and love almost any stringed instrument. Enjoy bluegrass and old-time tunes especially with frailing banjo and fiddle, but I primarily play 3-finger style bluegrass. The sound of the openback banjo frailin' mixed with a fiddle, is close to the perfect sound in my opinion. That old time sound brings me out to the sticks, in the woods or on the mountain tops. If I can progress as well on the fiddle as I have on the banjo, I may be lookin' for my next instrument.

I enjoy listening to and playing the 5-string banjo... a lot!! All bluegrass and old-timey music suits me well. I have began playing 3-finger style bluegrass with my resonated jo, and practice clawhammer with my openback deering goodtime. I've been tinkering with instruments for about 3 years now and progressively began picking the banjo only this year of jan 2007. The banjo is definately the instrument that fits my lifestyle and obsession with fiddle tunes. I think the banjo and fiddle sound amazing together and in short, would love to learn the fiddle also. This kind of music and atmosphere of good folks is the joys of my life and am very thankful and grateful to be so privileged as to be a part of such a community.
