I have been playing guitar, banjo since I was twelve. Started the fiddle very late in life, but I am coming along. I play everything by ear. I don't bother with reading music for the fiddle, although I can read music for wind instruments. I served as a Marine for many years, as a Police Officer, and as a Teacher of English. I speak, read, write the Persian language (Iranian & Afghanistan) Learned in the service. I have two degrees, but it doesn't hurt my fiddlin.
