The main focus of the South Carolina State Fiddle Assocition will be to promote fiddle competitions regionally in South Carolina. As a nonprofit organization we will be eligable for Fed.and State grants to help fund these projects. These fiddle competitions will generate a wave of acoustic talent and put S.C. on the Bluegrass map. The South Carolina State Fiddle Association is now being registered with the Secretary of State for official purposes. The association is long over due, it's time we as fiddlers got together to produce a crop. The results of the association will bring to the stage the best fiddlers in SC. and give them the recognition they deserve and a goal to achieve. There will be a public meeting in Walhalla S.C. to further discuss the details and begin the foundation

What's the status of this? Last post was two years ago. Hagood Mill now hosts the SC Fiddle Championship. What other events are happening?
