Here's my submission, just in the nick of time! Since I already had a traditional fiddle and banjo recording of this up on the old time jam website, I decided to try a banjo+vocal version in a new banjo tuning. So this one is actually in the key of F to better suit my voice.

Thanks to all who've participated. This has been great fun - looking forward to the next tune!

Peggy, funny you should mention the CD thing. I've started working on a CD of children-friendly old-time tunes/songs that I'll be singing as duets with my daughter (she's 7). She was working on her harmony part for "Hop High Ladies" just last night, and I do think it'll be a keeper :)

Good. If you have audio recording software, you can open the file and save it as an mp3. Here are the guidelines for uploading to this site: fiddlehangout.com/help/?id=29

You can also use something like the free version of this program:  nch.com.au/switch/index.html  I use it, and it works very well. Be sure and keep the WAV file.

I hated the way I sounded on fiddle but didnt want to be left out so I put a simple mando version here. Back up with the old time jam slow guitar.I sung one verse and chorus.

I might try the fiddle later but need to get the wash done first.

Judy, your version is exactly how I would picture it if the tune was played in a circle at Clifftop.  I really like the swing you put in the rhythm!

Been a long while since I stopped by the FHO, but this is such a great idea that I just have to jump in.

So do understand correctly that the next tune is MISSISSIPPI SAWYER??? I'll be posting my version sometime in the near future. . . once I get a version, that is

Thank you so much for the congratulations, guys. This is soooooo awesome and kind of unexpected. I had so much fun working on the tune that I completely forgot there was going to be a drawing. I had actually planned on submitting a better version, but I wound up having to work too much and ran out of time. I probably spend about an hour a day on old time jam already, so this certainly won't go to waste. I'm already at work on Mississippi Sawyer, but the version I wanna do is pretty tough. Lots of work ahead. Better get out the rosin and get to work...
