Can anyone recommend a book, and or video showing arpeggios, and how to incorporate them into playing backup? Also, I don`t see how most of the cords I used playing bluegrass mandolin ( chop cords ) transpose to the fingerboard on the violin.
Any help will definatly be most appreceated!

Put the first together with the second, and you've pretty much got what you need to play arpeggios. That second url has both mando and fiddle "chords" which are pretty much the same if your fiddle is in standard tuning (which mine almost never is) and by comparing you'll see that.
How you add them in stylistically depends on the style of fiddling you're doing, which I imagine is bluegrass? Someone else will have to help you with that. :-)

Major chords are built on something called a major triad and consist of the first note, the 3rd note and the 5th note of every major scale. Let's take the key of G
the first note, the root is G
the 3rd note is B
the 5th note is D
So the 3 notes of the chord for the key of G are G, B, D
These are also the notes of the G major arpeggio
now you know how to play all the major arpeggios!
Minor arpeggios are the same, but since the third is flatted, or lowered by 1/2 step, the notes are slightly different, for example, G again
G Major: G, B, D
G Minor: G, Bflat, D
everything else is the same
Music theory is so simple, yet so many people freak out about it
Now you can play every major and minor arpeggio - and you don't need sheet music to do it!

Mel Bay has a book called The Fiddler's Handbook by Craig Duncan. It spells out arpeggios, chords, scales, and etudes in different styles. It is a good reference that comes in handy when explaining all of this stuff to students. We sell a couple every years to students who are serious about understanding theory. It is very similar to what the classical folks must do it seems.

Robbob's..." The Fiddler's Handbook by Craig Duncan." (theory)

Yep - music theory is under all of it -
cain't swing a dead cat without using it -
So familiarity is a smart thing -cause ya use it whether you know it or not - can make understanding what you hear easier -

This is probably a lot more than you want, but this is the book most classical players are given for daily use (in my experience):
