I decided to began a new topic, TWUT-PIJ (Tunes We Used To Play In Jams). Some are from recordings that were made a number of years ago and some will be new. on solo fiddle. I welcome contributions from anybody, at any time. to this topic, but I prefer that you are playing in whatever tune you contribute.
Today, it's "Oklahoma Rooster" (in D) from a 2000 recording of Hobo Pie. "Oklahoma Rooster" is another great dance tune from Dick Hutchinson via Joel Shimberg. (Carl Baron-fiddle, Barbara Johnson-fiddle, Ray Frick-banjo, Bob Woodcock-guitar). At a faster tempo than Dick's (check it out on slippery-hill).
<3 <3 <3 That's a lovely and fun tune hehe.
What's up with fiddlers and chickens? :-D It seems like you all are kind of fond of them!!
I have no chickens. Love eggs. And a well fried one is most toothsome. R/

Ah yes Carl, and you mention so many names of folks I haven't seen in years and some we will see no more. Great tune. Glad you brought it up.
