Play fiddle (1975), banjo (1973), guitar (1958), clarinet (1952), jug, wooden spoons (~1992), tin whistle (1973), recorder (1948), have abandon piano (1948-1972) and sing folk songs (as soon as I could talk). Love to jam. I often stumble on new ways of playing tunes while interacting with other musicians, not that I remember exactly what I played the next morning. Jams are like a "Happening" to me (for those of you who remember what "Happenings" are). I've made two home-made CDs "Banjo Stuff" and "West Virginia, Book Learnin' and Other Stuff" with some very able assistance from Ali'i Wahine Barbara Johnson. I've also played in a couple of old time bands (Hobo Pie with Barbara and Ray Frick (made two CDs, both recorded live) and Scattershot with [Bill Moffett, deceased], Thomas Hawkins and Jann Glider, Wes Steenson and Jim Hobson) (both bands are no longer active), Irish music (tin whistle & spoons), international folk dance music (clarinet, tin whistle & chalumeau), classical music (clarinet) and sing Sacred Harp.
