I'm sohappy to hear about the difficulties of accuracy in measurement. I've tried many times to measure stuff I was attempting to repair, etc., and never came up with the same exact answers twice in a row. Even measuring air in a tire...I get wildly differing measuremets each time with the little dofloppy. Now I drive my EV, Bolt...it just tells me on the computer screen how much air is in each tire. I admit it, I can't do it myself...I can't understand measurement as an art or a science, so, yeah, the little EV Bolt is my helper and my friend...lol.

My lovely wife's Prius has pressure sensors in each tire.. that warning light kept coming on even thought all the tires had full pressure.. Finally I went to my local 'guy' and he had a device that indicated that two of the four sensors had low battery life.. I had those two sensors replaced. Problem solved.. Now I'm $330 poorer.. and so it goes..
This is a good place to post a silly story. When I was in my late twenties, I revisited the old homeplace.. It was Winter...snow on the ground, the gravel road had a nice ice base on it.. I found that old sled that my brother and I had use many years ago.. What the heck.. I'm going to jump on it and sled down the road.. Little did I know that the sled, over the years had developed a thick layer of rust and it had no intentions of sliding on ice.. I ran holding the sled..I tossed the sled out in front of me and when the sled hit the road....stopped... However, I had momentum and made an embarrassing landing on the road... I remember it so well... and so it goes..

Once at a supermarket..in the rain we used a coat-hanger to unlock customer’s car.. only to discover the window on the passenger side was down all along...Ya cain't win..
I'm feeling torn.. Should I spend almost $8 for a Latte, or $6+ for a gallon diesel..? Should I spend almost $2 for a gallon of bottled water or get it free from the tap? decisions, decisions....Should I learn more fiddle tunes? or just keep playing poorly the 5,000 I already know?... and so it goes....
