Green with envy. I'll never be about to own one of those. Here's mine

We owned a 28' 5th wheel for years up in Alaska - brought it back with us to Tennessee. Kept it until we move to our home in Mississippi. HOA covenants helped us decide to sell - about 6 years ago. And we have regretted not having one ever since.
The trip to Kennedy Creek Old Time Music Festival kind of re-awoke those feelings.
This beauty with this one - with the top retracted - I can put it in the garage. That means no more HOA problems.
We are both retired and excited about what's next.

Yes. That is one of the reasons we bought it.
Because of "what it is" there was a premium - but if it makes for good memories at this time in life, then its worth it.

We got a Casita travel trailer. That works well for us. That said, because I'm still working we didn't take it out much this year. We'll take it out more next year.
The friends we met up with at Kennedy had a Casita. They love theirs! We're talking about events that we can meet at.
...hope to see you (and others) on the road this year. Enjoy!!!
We are talking about it. We camped outside of Nashville in January with our 5th wheel after we had moved back. ("8th of January" Old Time Workshop in Pegram). It got cold enough the last night to freeze our water hose. Fun event though, met up with friends that we knew in AK, and I got to sit in the fiddle workshop with Trevor Stuart before he passed.
And we are also looking at Breaking up Winter in Nashville in March. Florida is definitely in the mix - end o f March. And there are friends in Mt View, AK - we want to visit.
I'm not sure these trailers are made for winter specifically, but they are built in Quebec. And certainly, there are folks using them year round.
