Me on mandolin and guitar. This tune is usually in A. I'm playing it here in D. At the time I recorded it I thought it sounded better in D and was mystified that fiddle players looked so disconcerted when I told them I wanted to play it in D. Now that I play fiddle some, I understand those looks.

Is this tune from Ed Haley? Sounds real good.

Thanks Bruce,
I understand that there are source recordings of both Ed Haley and Edden Hammonds, doing this. Honestly, I've never heard either. I learned it from Bruce Molsky and Rayna Gellert.
