Can someone help me figure out this intro? A video would be nice. :-) I can play something similar to the second part of it but the beginning has me dumbfounded. Please help if you can.

Wow. thanks for posting this thread and introducing me to this tune. I had heard of Old Crow Med. Show BUT had not heard them nor watched them until tonite when I went on YouTube and saw them perform Wagon Wheel. I'm going to learn this first thing tomorrow morn. How are you coming along on learning the intro? Are you crossed tuned in AEAE? Stay tuned. Thanks again. Diane

Hi Diane. OCMS is a really good band. I saw them live recently at the Banjo-B-Que in North Augusta. Their live show is awesome!
I have learned the intro fairly well. I don't think I have it exact but it is close. Yes, I'm tuned to AEAE. It makes a big difference when you are actually tuned like they are when trying to learn it. I was trying in standard tuning before I saw this video on YouTube.
The link to the tab was very helpful, too.
