Chinquapin Pie, as inspired by Hobart Smith. Recorded on the Revox in 2001. Banjo first (I guess normal open A) and fiddle next (AEAE) - and then a simple guitar (A-chords +)

Quite a respectable fiddle version from a banjo tune. I've tried two:
Last Chance in (low)EDAE (sounds in E minor) (I don't like the fiddle versions that were done in standard tuning)
Peachbottom Creek, a D tune with the fiddle in standard tuning (a Wade Ward banjo tune in the D tuning when the Scruggs' tuners are tuned down; also known as Ruben's Train tuning; f#DF#AD)
