You know I learned that tune one weekend in your hometown - Mt. View. The first time I ever heard it was at one of the Dulcimer Festivals in Mt. View years ago.

You got a McSpadden? Use to go to their shop every year. Best dulcimers in the world. Jean Simmons use to work there. Plaed music with them a few times years ago. What a talented family. Her girls sang like birds and her son-in-laws both played too. One a great fiddler & the other guitar. Roger, I think was one of the boys. Think I heard tha Jean passed away some time back. Sure sorry to hear it. A genuine southern lady if their ever was one.

This tune is played quite a bit in Mt View but we played it in TX 70 -80 yrs ago & is played now by TX contest fiddlers. I think it would be OLDTIME ! Hilly<

Yup....McSpaddens. They were tha first 2 instruments I made from kits.
