to me, Smokey is a master at altering a melody each time a segment is played and his years of "playing WITH" the melody offer us many variations on the original Theme. I am working on some of his phrases and it teaches me hoe to improvise without going overboard

Great to hear some good oldtime Texas fiddling before it got all swingy and jazzy ...sounds alot like oldtime Missouri fiddling... what a treasure...thanks for sharing his music with us.
