This is a little medley Patt and I played at a Contra Dance in 2009. First tune is a Canadian jig I learned from Cyril Stinnett and in the middle of the dance we switch to a popular Sottish Reel.

Charlie I got to say this is a great song, and your violin sounds great. What kind is it?

It was made in 1995 in Chicago by Christopher Germaine who now has his shop in Philadelphia.

Great couple of tunes.
Those Canadian Jigs are all "happy" tunes. Graeme Townsend used to play a few such as:
"Dungannon Sweetheart" and "Rocking Chair Jig".
There's also "Spin & Glow" by Frank Ferrel.

Ever the pedant, Edinburgh has an "h" at the end and is pronounced "Edinburra".
The "Flowers" are a remark by the diarist and traveller of the time Dr Samuel Johnson and refer to the smell of the rather basic sewage arrangements of the Old Town in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
The inhabitants threw their detritus out their windows on to the streets..!!
